Focus ST 225 EBC Yellowstuff Front Brake Pads
Upgrade your Focus ST 225 EBC Yellowstuff Front Brake Pads with EBC’s UK-made Yellowstuff compound, designed to deliver stronger stopping power, excellent pedal feel and reliable performance during fast-road driving.
These British-made pads use a copper-free aramid material that offers around 30% more friction than standard pads. As a result, they provide a noticeable increase in stopping power, especially on heavier or higher-performance cars. Because they are ECE R90 approved, they are fully road legal and suitable for everyday use.
For quieter operation, each pad is shimmed, chamfered and slotted, helping reduce noise while maintaining smooth, consistent braking. Although Yellowstuff can handle temperatures up to 450°C, they are not intended for full track or race use. However, they remain a popular choice for kit-car owners and drivers of lighter performance cars thanks to their stable friction and fade-resistant behaviour.
The pads are heat-scorched during production, which speeds up the bedding-in process. Even so, EBC recommends allowing a proper bed-in period before any track-style driving. If you plan occasional track use, it’s best to run the pads on the road first. For faster and more track-focused bedding, EBC also suggests considering their Bluestuff R90-approved compound.
