Developed in collaboration with AIRTEC Motorsport, this latest design features integrated air scoops at the base and both sides of the intercooler to dramatically improve airflow through the core. The result is significantly reduced charge air temperatures, allowing your Focus RS MK3 to maintain optimum power delivery even during demanding, high-boost driving conditions.

Proven Cooling Efficiency

On the dyno, this intercooler delivered exceptional results, as demonstrated below, ensuring consistent power and reliability. The advanced core design provides a rapid heat recovery rate, meaning instant throttle response and reduced heat soak after hard acceleration.

This system has been proven to extract maximum gains from both standard and heavily modified Focus RS MK3s, and is especially suited for Stage 3 or Stage 3+ setups such as the DS Ultima 3 kit, comfortably supporting power figures up to 600bhp.

Precision Engineering & Perfect Fit

Designed around a high-flow, single-pass 100mm core, the intercooler offers a massive increase in frontal area and cooling capacity over the factory unit — from 9.8 litres (OEM) to 19.7 litres (AIRTEC Motorsport). Despite this huge performance improvement, it fits neatly behind the original bumper with no trimming or cutting required, and can be reverted back to stock if needed.

Each kit includes a comprehensive fitting pack with all fixtures, fittings, and instructions for easy installation in under two hours.

All pipes have swaged ends to stop the pipes blowing off on higher power cars.

Fitting

We rate this item as 1.5 out of 5 for fitting difficulty, with 1 being the easiest and 5 most difficult. The Intercooler takes just over an hour to fit and retains all original plastics. No alterations necessary.

We also offer a full fitting service at our Dreamscience HQ in Hull, UK. This must be selected with your order, and we will then contact you to arrange a suitable time.
