Dreamscience ST MK4 Intercooler [by Airtec]

The Dreamscience ST MK4 Intercooler [by Airtec] has been one of the most challenging products we’ve ever developed due to the tight structure and layout at the front of the car. Working alongside AIRTEC Motorsport, there’s a solution that not only fits perfectly but delivers real, proven gains where it matters most.

The stepped-core design (85mm to 35mm) makes full use of the limited space behind the bumper, giving a huge increase in internal volume and cooling surface area compared to the stock intercooler. Despite this, it still fits neatly behind the original bumper with only minimal trimming and connects directly to the OEM boost pipes using our billet mounting system.

Although it might not look dramatically bigger than the factory unit, the internal swept volume of the Dreamscience ST MK4 Intercooler [by Airtec] is significantly larger. This compact but efficient design reduces pressure drop, improves turbo spool, and keeps charge temps low — even after long periods of hard driving.

Tested on a Focus ST MK4 running our Ultima+ (330bhp) software, the data shows clear gains in horsepower and torque throughout the rev range, with smoother power delivery and lower charge temperatures. Paired with the Velossa Tech BIG Mouth Intake Scoop, this setup offers one of the most efficient cooling systems available for the Mk4 ST.

Finished in Pro-Series Black (with or without the DREAMSCIENCE logo), each intercooler is supplied with all fixtures, fittings, and a detailed fitting guide.

Fitting

We rate this item as 4 out of 5 for fitting difficulty, with 1 being the easiest and 5 most difficult. The Intercooler takes between 3-4 hours to fit and requires modifications to the standard smash panel.

We also offer a full fitting service at our Dreamscience HQ in Hull, UK. This must be selected with your order, and we will then contact you to arrange a suitable time. Please note if you require this service then you must choose collection as your delivery method when going through the checkout or you’ll still be charged for delivery!
