This high-performance Forge Recirculation Valve is a direct replacement for the factory-fitted valve on the Ford Focus ST250 (Mk3). It features a piston-based design, offering significantly improved durability and performance over the OEM diaphragm-style valve.
✅ Why Upgrade?
The original (OEM) valve is designed to handle stock boost levels. However, when tuning or remapping the ST250 for increased boost, the stock diaphragm can collapse or leak — resulting in performance loss or boost leaks. The Forge valve is engineered to withstand boost pressures over 2.5 bar, making it ideal for modified or high-performance applications.
🔄 Recirculation, Not Atmospheric
This is a recirculation valve, meaning it redirects excess boost pressure back into the intake system, rather than venting it to the atmosphere. This maintains smooth engine operation and is PCM-friendly, avoiding common issues like air leaks, rough idle, or fueling errors that some aftermarket atmospheric (blow-off) valves may introduce.
Note: This valve does not create loud “blow-off” sounds typically associated with atmospheric dump valves. However, if used with an open intake kit, it can enhance turbo induction and recirculation noise slightly — without causing unwanted compressor surge or turbo damage.
