Focus ST 225 EBC Yellowstuff Rear Brake Pads

Upgrade your Focus ST 225 rear brake pads with EBC’s high-performance Yellowstuff compound. These UK-made pads deliver stronger stopping power, excellent pedal stability and improved rear-axle control during fast-road driving.

Built from a copper-free aramid material, Yellowstuff pads provide around 30% more friction than standard components. As a result, they offer noticeably better braking performance and improved balance when paired with front Yellowstuff pads. Because the compound is ECE R90 approved, the pads remain fully road legal and suitable for daily driving.

For quieter, smoother braking, the pads are shimmed, chamfered and slotted, helping reduce noise while maintaining consistent bite. Yellowstuff offers a stable friction coefficient of 0.48μ, even at temperatures up to 450°C, giving you reliable performance under heavy braking. Although capable at higher temperatures, the pads are not intended for full track or race use, making them ideal for fast-road enthusiasts.

Each pad is heat-scorched during production to speed up bed-in. Even so, EBC recommends a proper bedding-in period before any demanding driving. If you plan occasional track sessions, it helps to pre-bed the pads on the street first. For faster bedding or more track-focused performance, EBC’s Bluestuff R90 compound may be a better option.
