The dsci ST Stage 4 Turbo X Tuning Upgrade kit takes the Focus ST225 to a whole new level with unrivaled performance for your Focus ST225.

The dsci ST Stage 3 to Stage 4 Upgrade kit includes the 4 items below,

1) DS-AET-K06 Turbo upgrade

2) Uprated Focus RS Mk2 Oil cooler

3) RS Mk2 440cc multi hole fuel injectors, set of 5

4) Turbo X re-map

Full fitting and individual setup of your vehicle is available as an option below, or we can mail order this entire kit. The fitting price listed in the options below also includes new down pipe bolts, gasket, copper washer seals, RS MK2 coolant, and new turbo exhaust manifold gasket.

Below is a more detailed illustartion of all the components included in the Stage 3 to Stage 4 Turbo X upgrade package....

Multi Hole Injectors

dreamscience DS-AET-K06 Hybrid turbo upgrade – Dreamscience have worked closely with AET-Turbos over the last 12 months to co-develop a hybrid turbo upgrade for the Focus ST225 which develops great performance, reliability and value for money. We have incorporated a Forge actuator and Forge re-circulating dump valve to this turbo unit and have increased the size of the compressor wheel, plus the entire unit has been ported and polished to increase the overall efficiency of the unit. After intensive testing and many specification changes we have now signed off the DS-AET-K06 unit for production as below,

• K04/06 hybrid turbo

• 35Lb/min Billet compressor wheel with extended tip technology

• CNC re-profiled compressor cover

• Ported compressor cover inlet

• AET bespoke motorsport 6 pad thrust bearing assembly

• Total seal turbine piston ring seal for low back pressure exhaust systems

• Modified Seal plate to match hi-flow compressor wheel

• Cut back turbine exducer blades for better flow @ high RPM ranges

• Forge T2 actuator with blue spring

• Forge recirc valve with yellow spring

• Ported inlet manifold matched to manifold gasket

• Enlarged and ported wastegate

• Core assembly VSR balanced to motorsport specifications

• Fully blue printed to motorsport specs 

IMPORTANT - Please note that this is a turbo exchange price. For customers who select fitting at dreamscience this is mandatory and is reflected in the price. For mail order customers there is a £200 + VAT surcharge which covers your turbo and the supply of new down pipe bolts, gasket, copper washer seals, and new turbo exhaust manifold gasket which are needed for fitting, normally priced at £29.17 + VAT. Mail order customers are able to then send us their original turbo to receive £200 + VAT refund (£240 including VAT for EU based customers) on receipt of their turbo in good mechanical order.

Multi Hole Injectors


Focus RS MK2 440cc multi hole injectors x 5 - These are the same Bosch injectors as found in the Focus RS MK2 and are a direct replacement for the standard 330cc Focus ST injectors. There is no need to re-calibrate your ecu to accept these injectors as all of our Dreamscience maps will run these injectors perfectly. These injectors are used as part of our stage 4 kit as from testing the standard injectors start to become inefficient at around 316Bhp +/- depending on temperature, commanded lambda, barometric pressure etc. These new injectors are a MUST for the new Stage 4 kit and also make a good addition to stage 1, 2 and 3 cars as you will notice an increase in performance in the mid range and at high rpm which is complimented with a smoother power delivery. (In all cases any injector bigger than 440cc will not run correctly and are unnecessary leading to ecu recalibration) At 350 real Bhp we still hold 11.5 to 1 AFR with the 440cc injector so any bigger is unnecessary and will not run as well.

Focus RS Mk2 Oil Cooler

Focus RS MK2 Oil cooler - The Focus ST225 from standard has a small oil cooler unit which is located just above the rear part of the sump. We are now offering an upgrade which is a direct replacement from the Focus RS MK2, this bigger oil cooler is very simple in design and easy to install while offering an improved ability to reduce oil temperatures for cars running big power or doing track days. This cooler is a mandatory piece of kit for the Stage 4 upgrade and a great option for all other stages. There are 2 variants of the standard oil cooler produced by the manufacturer so when ordering we will contact you to establish if your model need any modified pipes or not, the majority don’t.

Turbo X Tune

Turbo X ECU remap - The Turbo X map has been developed to offer maximum performance while maintaining reliability and efficiency, as described by Performance Ford, “It’s designed to perform and feel as if it’s original factory fitment”. To use the Turbo X map it is mandatory to have the RS MK2 440cc injectors only, an uprated oil cooler, and the DS-AET-K06 Turbo upgrade, we have not tested this on any other variant and have no plans to. The Turbo X map power delivery is designed to keep climbing as you go through the rev range, there is no massive lump in the low to mid range followed by the disappointment of losing all your power and boost. This map holds above 300Ftlb from 2000 rpm to just above 6000 rpm and has a very progressive / flat torque curve. As can be seen by the dyno graph Turbo X is controlled at low rpm to help a sensible torque figure which ensures the drive train is kept safe and in tact and as the rpm climbs all hell breaks loose.

The biggest challenge when designing this new map over the last 12 months was to keep things sensible yet powerful. By using the 440cc injectors we are able to slightly over fuel the car to a steady commanded lambda of 11.5 to 1, this helps keep the cylinders cooler and also allows us to use more advanced ignition tables. The upgraded oil cooler was essential to help keep the temperatures down too as quite simply More Power = More Heat and this makes plenty of both.

IMPORTANT - Please note that customers who select fitting will be offered a One Shot tune which installs the Turbo X tune onto your car, or if you have an existing dsci Tuning Platform or Stratagem handset old and new, we will load the tune onto your system as an additional tune for you.

Customers who buy this package via mail order have two options,

1) You can send us your old style Stratagem in the post for the Turbo X update.

2) If
 you own a dsci Tuning Platform, dsci Elite, or Stratagem Ultra please select
    "none required (already own handset)" and we will e-mail you a Turbo X update

Customers who do not have a tuning product already and wish to buy a dsci pc interface or Stratagem Ultra with the Turbo X map pre-loaded can do so by selecting one of these from the options below.

 

Optional Oil and Filter Change

Select our optional oil and filter change below to finish off your dreamscience Stage 4 performance package. With the modifications carried out it's obvious that the standard oil and filters fitted to your car will not suit the power increase. We'll supply and fit superior grade oil and filters (Fuchs Titan Pro S 5W 40 ester based grade 5 race oil) to help protect your engine under the new higher performance levels you'll be achieving.
Please note that as this is a fitted optional extra you should only add this option if you are intending to bring your car to our headquarters for fitting.


Deluxe ECU MountOptional Deluxe ECU Mount

While fitting your dsci Stage 3 Kit why not add a fully compatible RS mk2 ECU Mount?

This ECU Mount gives the engine bay more of a standard/tidy look, whilst protecting the delicate ECU from any water ingress.



Fitting

We also offer a full fitting service at our dreamscience HQ in Hull, UK, priced at £312.50 + VAT (£375). This must be selected with your order, and we will then contact you to arrange a suitable time. Please note if you require this service then you must choose collection as your delivery method when going through the checkout or you'll still be charged for delivery!

If you do not choose to have your upgrade fitted at dreamscience then remember there is an additional £200 + VAT (£240) refundable deposit until we receive your old turbo unit, and £29.17 + VAT (£35) surcharge to supply you with new down pipe bolts, gasket, copper washer seals, and new turbo exhaust manifold gasket which are needed for fitting.

Return exchange turbo shipping should be recorded courier and is at your own expense and responsibility. If you wish to keep your original turbo you can do so and we will keep the deposit you have paid. If we do not receive your exchange unit back with in 30 days from delivery of your new K06 unit you will lose the ability to claim back your £200 + VAT deposit.
