Which should I choose?

Also something to consider is that the Stratagem Ultra is a Linux based system running a 240MHZ ARM9 processor with 64Mb of SDRAM. While this is more than enough for tuning and datalogging purposes, most modern laptops and netbooks have considerably more power and run to a higher specification.
So which is better?
The dsci range is designed to run on any Windows XP/Vista based PC, meaning you can also check emails, surf the web, play games, etc. Most modern systems will be able to run it with no problems, if you need further details check out the Requirements tab on this page.
Our Stratagem Ultra is a Linux based handset so in theory it would be possible to run other software through it, but that is not something we're going to support or take any further - it's a tuning and datalogging handset for our purposes. It does play some multimedia files, but with it's processor and memory being lower than you'd normally get in a PC playback is more comparable to a good quality mobile phone.
I still don't know...
Both the platforms essentially do the same thing - they tune your car, they return it to stock if needed, and they are capable of datalogging. Both systems are plug and play and easy to use, and they are preloaded with our tunes. All updates and tune upgrades can be purchased through our dscipowered online store.
In summary, the Stratagem Ultra is a compact handset for loading tunes and datalogging. The dsci is a complete computer interface, allowing the user to add their car to the 100’s of other PCs applications that they already use on the move from the convenience of their mobile PC.
If you just want to tune and datalog, choose Stratagem Ultra. If you want to tune, datalog and do other PC related tasks, choose dsci Tuning Platform!

We use the UMID M1 netbook, which gives us both small form factor and computing power, and we've also pictured the Viliv S5 which has a screen mount as you can see below. The third PC is a standard Acer netbook that was free when we took out a mobile broadband contract!
